CURIO Legacy Ventures, a nuclear technology and innovation company, is seeking to fill the chemical engineer – radiochemistry specialty position. The ideal candidate would be part of a team responsible for and tasked with design and development of novel process equipment. As a team member, applicant will work in a fast paced, high octane environment that accelerates operational efficiency.
Candidates are applying for a position that has export control regulations and would require them to be a US citizen or LPR or a citizen of any qualifying nation under 10 CFR Appendix A to Part 810.

Responsibilities
- Innovate in Radiochemical Equipment Design: Support the design and development of equipment specifically for reacting and handling radioactive materials, ensuring safety and efficiency.
- Set Design Standards: Propose and define design requirements for radiochemical handling, sampling, and analysis, driving the development of cutting-edge solutions.
- Optimize Chemical Reactions: Analyze chemical reactions and process equipment designs to optimize performance, contributing to the advancement of Curio’s innovative technologies.
- Research and Development: Conduct research aimed at modifying chemical reaction processes and procedures, enhancing efficiency and safety in radiochemical processes.
- Translate Technical Needs: Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to gather input and translate it into precise process requirements that align with project goals.
- Collaborate in Design Reviews: Engage in design reviews with a multidisciplinary team, providing your chemical engineering expertise to refine and perfect innovative solutions.
- Documentation and Reporting: Prepare comprehensive technical reports that detail the results of analyses, research, and design evaluations, contributing to Curio’s commitment to excellence.
Qualifications
- Educational Background: A Master’s degree or PhD in Chemical Engineering is highly preferred.
- Radiochemistry Expertise: Background in radiochemistry, with a strong preference for expertise in lanthanide and actinide radiochemistry.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in the use of a chemical engineering analysis software suite such as ChemKin, HSC Chemistry, ANSYS, etc., with experience performing simulations of chemical kinetics and stoichiometry.
- Chemical Reactor Design: Experience in the design and development of chemical reactors, with a strong grasp of inorganic chemistry, electrochemistry, and analytical methods.
- Professional Experience: 2-3 years of relevant experience in the chemical engineering field, preferably in a radiochemistry setting.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with an interdisciplinary team.
- Self-Motivated: A proactive individual who is eager to take on challenges and deliver precise, high-quality work.
