CURIO™ Legacy Ventures, a nuclear technology and innovation company, is seeking to fill the Nuclear Engineer position. The ideal candidate would be part of a team responsible for and tasked with design and development of novel process equipment. As a team member, applicant will work in a fast paced, high octane environment that accelerates operational efficiency.
Candidates are applying for a position that has export control regulations and would require them to be a US citizen or LPR or a citizen of any qualifying nation under 10 CFR Appendix A to Part 810.

Responsibilities

Perform nuclear criticality safety analyses to define safety basis for equipment that will handle fissile nuclear material.

Determine limits and control on nuclear material in equipment/vessel to maintain criticality margins.

Develop and execute computer models to evaluate normal and off-normal scenarios with regards to criticality safety.

Advise other engineers on the impact from design changes on criticality safety.

Advise engineering team on instrumentation needs.

Participate in design reviews with interdisciplinary team.

Prepare and review technical reports
Qualifications

Experience using Nuclear Criticality Safety (NCS) software.

Experience in sizing vessels/facilities containing nuclear material.

Experience working with radiation detection instrumentation.

Strong grasp of nuclear engineering fundamentals.

Willing to be challenged working in an environment developing novel technology.

Must be self-motivated with attention to detail.

Bachelors degree, masters/PhD preferred.

2 years of related experience.

Good writing/oral skills, ability to work with interdisciplinary group.
